Design is giving uniqueness to an existing product after thorough analysis of its relationship with the user. Every human being changes with time and each change comes with new needs and problems. Thus, product and user are interdependent for undergoing changes. Design comes into the picture to create such changes in the product and further simplify human living.
Design can be functional and non-functional. Functional design deals with the utility aspect of a product while non-functional relates to its form and beauty. Both have their own importance for the product to be wishfully accepted by the user.
